How the selection of volunteers for the international construction championship is carried out was discussed today at the teleconference "RSO. Global Construction Projects", dedicated to the II International Construction Championship of the platform "Russia is a country of opportunities".
The event was attended by representatives of volunteer selection sites, Russian student labor groups working at large construction sites in Russia, Egypt, Turkey and Belarus, and representatives of Kazan as the host party.
Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Alexander Lomakin drew attention to the importance of the tasks facing the construction industry: "Today, more than 11 million specialists work in the construction industry. At the same time, realizing the large volume of tasks and the high growth rates of commissioning of construction projects, we need to attract new personnel to the industry. And from this point of view, the International Construction Championship is a unique event that will allow participants from many countries to get acquainted, exchange experience and gain new knowledge. I would like to wish the participants of the construction championship to gain new knowledge, share and exchange experience, and establish business contacts."
Alexey Agafonov, First Deputy Director General of ANO "Russia is a Land of Opportunities", spoke about the role of young specialists in the field of industrial construction: "In 2022, the International Construction Championship was included in the line of projects of the presidential platform "Russia is a country of opportunities". We are sure that this is an effective tool for forming a personnel reserve and improving the status of working professions. For students and young professionals, participation in the championship is a powerful incentive for development and a chance to prove themselves. They are well aware of how high the competition is in this area. Participation and, moreover, winning competitions will give them advantages when looking for a job, help them show their abilities in front of reputable employers and contribute to career growth. The experience of last year showed a high level of training among students: student teams competed with experienced specialists on equal terms, so this year the federal organizing committee of the championship decided to create a "Student League", the prize fund of which exceeds 11 million rubles."
The participants of the Student League will compete for prizes in 16 nominations of three categories: "Industrial construction", "Design of industrial facilities" and "Construction project Management".
