In the capital of Tatarstan, more than 4,000 schoolchildren have entered new schools, including the multidisciplinary Lyceum No. 133 "Gail" for 1,224 students in the eponymous microdistrict, the Lyceum No. 79 specializing in ecology and technology, "Rodina," near the Novye Gorki residential complex, with 1,224 students, and the Lyceum No. 95 specializing in natural sciences, in the Vesna residential complex, with 1,501 students. The ceremony at the latter school was attended by Tatarstan's Rais Rustam Minnikhanov and the city's mayor, Ilsur Metshin, as well as the director of the GISU RT, Ilnar Khafizov.
Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin thanked the republic's leadership for the construction of this much-needed facility in the Vesna residential complex. He reported that Kazan schools have opened their doors to 182,000 students—8,000 more than last year. 18,000 first-graders will be attending classes. Three new schools with a total of 4,000 seats will be opened in the capital by the start of the school year.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated children on Knowledge Day. He noted that over 500,000 students have started school in Tatarstan.

The lyceum specializes in natural sciences. Engineering classrooms have been equipped with drone technology, web programming, and IoT technology. The new school's technological complex also includes a printing press, a video studio, and various workshops. The lyceum has also been equipped with digital labs and robotics equipment. The facility was built as part of the federal "Modern School" project, part of the national "Education" project.
The school has been equipped with two swimming pools and gymnasiums, as well as an assembly hall that seats 670 people. The school restaurant seats 750. The lyceum also features sports fields for football, basketball, volleyball, and hockey, as well as running tracks.
