Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Kazan children's sports and health camp "Molodaya Gvardiya" after major repairs. He was accompanied by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Public Utilities of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and others.

The camp "Molodaya Gvardiya" in the forest park "Lebyazhye" was built in 1932. The last time it was reconstructed was in 1961. During the work on the territory of 9.37 hectares, almost all the old buildings were demolished. In their place, 10 dormitory buildings and 2 administrative buildings were built. They have water supply and sewerage systems, laundries and showers. The sports infrastructure has been completely updated and the territory has been improved.

Every year in the summer, at least 950 children rested in the camp in 4 shifts. After renovation this year, the camp's design capacity increased to 5 shifts and 1,400 children (280 people per shift).

Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the new club building, dormitories, medical center, canteen, gazebos, and a football field.

In the camp, young athletes are trained in four sports: football, basketball, speed skating, and track and field. Basketball and two basketball-volleyball courts with rubber surfaces, a mini-football court with artificial turf, and two non-standard football fields with earth and sand surfaces are equipped for training.
