In Kazan, the grand opening of a new perinatal center took place at the City Clinical Hospital No. 7 named after M.N. Sadykov in Kazan. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening via video link.
On the basis of the perinatal center, it is planned to provide assistance to pregnant women, women in labor and postpartum at high risk in the city of Kazan and surrounding areas of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the attached population from antenatal clinics No. 1, 3, 5 (as part of the State Autonomous Institution "City Clinical Hospital No. 7 named after M. N. Sadykova" Kazan). The planned number of births is 8,000 per year (in a joint obstetric institution).
Capacity - 120 beds (80 postpartum beds, 22 beds in the neonatal pathology department, 18 beds for medical rehabilitation of newborns, including 10 ICU beds)
The birth will take place in 7 individual maternity rooms, where future fathers and relatives can stay.
Four operating rooms are intended for women who are indicated for emergency surgical delivery, as well as surgical care for newborn children.
The neonatal intensive care unit is equipped with modern breathing equipment and incubators for nursing newborns. Information about the child’s condition will be displayed on the monitor around the clock.
The department of medical rehabilitation for newborn children with diseases of the nervous system has rooms for physiotherapy (equipment for phototherapy, electrotherapy, inhalations, etc.), exercise therapy and massage, hydrotherapy, dry immersion, psycho-emotional diagnostics and correction of the condition of mothers in the postpartum period, etc. technologies for restoring impaired functions.
With the commissioning of the perinatal center in Kazan, the creation of a three-level system for organizing medical care for pregnant women, women in labor and newborns will be completed, which will ensure the routing of pregnant women to a maternity care facility of the appropriate level to provide medical care aimed at the successful completion of pregnancy and the prevention of disability in children.
Vladimir Putin noted the low level of infant mortality in Tatarstan. “We have a historically low infant mortality rate, and in Tatarstan it is lower than in the country as a whole. This is cool! I congratulate you on the opening of this center and wish you all the best,” the President addressed the workers of the perinatal center.
