The opening of the “Figital Center” took place in Kazan
Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin opened a phygital center in Kazan. It is located on the territory of the Universiade Village. The center in the capital of Tatarstan is the third in Russia.
The territory of the Phygital Center includes sports and e-sports zones. The sports area has grounds for mini-football, basketball (streetball) and workout. The eSports zone consists of a computer room, a game console zone and a virtual reality zone. Also on the territory there is a medical office, a corridor with a food court area, women's and men's locker rooms, an equipment room, etc.
“The phygital movement is sweeping the planet. We have organized physical federations in almost all regions. This movement is open in 63 countries, that is, it cannot be stopped. It is symbolic that a phygital center has been created at the Volga Region University, where specialists will be trained to create methodological standards,” Chernyshenko noted.
The head of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation called the opening of such a center in Kazan a contribution to the future.
Tomorrow, February 21, the opening ceremony of the “Games of the Future” will take place in Kazan. About 2 thousand people from 107 countries will take part in the tournament.
