Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Alexey Eresko last week visited the sites of the federal project “Improvement of the Volga” in Kazan, and also took part in a seminar-meeting on the issues of improvement and preservation of water bodies.
Alexey Eresko highly appreciated the work carried out to modernize wastewater treatment facilities in the Republic of Tatarstan. He drew attention to the effectiveness of close interaction between all structures involved in the project.
The federal project “Improving the Volga” is aimed at improving the environmental condition of the Volga by reducing the volume of polluted wastewater by 2024.
At the moment, work on the large-scale reconstruction of biological treatment facilities in Kazan (BOSK) has been completed by 72%. Also, as part of the implementation of the federal project “Improvement of the Volga”, the reclamation of the Samosyrovsky landfill in Kazan is being completed. Construction and installation work is 95% complete.
