A perinatal center is being built on the basis of Kazan City Hospital No. 7. The center will become the main institution for the entire obstetric and gynecological service of the city. Every year it will accommodate more than 8 thousand women in labor.

The mayor of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilsur Metshin, monitored the progress of construction of the medical facility. “The construction of a perinatal center is important for Kazan. By the end of August, the builders plan to complete all the work, and decent conditions will be created for women in labor,” said the head of the city.

The new center will focus on the most modern technologies; reservation and purchase of equipment is currently underway.

A whole range of medical services will be provided here, including monitoring pregnant women at high risk, carrying out all the necessary diagnostic procedures and studies for them, and support in the postpartum period.

To date, the construction of the perinatal center has been completed by 21%. Workers have almost completed the brickwork and roofing work. Work continues on the heating and water supply networks, and the installation of a ventilated façade is underway.
