The institution is the only city hospital in Kazan with hematology and pulmonology departments. During the renovation, the roof and utility networks were replaced in the building, new equipment and furniture were installed, and toilets were added to each ward. The updated medical facility was visited by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin and the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin.
Renovations in the five-story second building of the 16th hospital began in March last year, the work was carried out in stages. The hematology department is located on the fifth floor of the building. The renovation here was completed in the summer, and already in June patients were received in the renovated premises.
“We have become cozy, beautiful and functional,” the head of the department, Elvira Kudryavtseva, shared with the head of the city. According to her, the results of the work were appreciated by both employees and patients. “The renovation is wonderful. I stay in the department every year, so I know how it was here before,” Zulfiya Abdralova, an elderly resident of Kazan, shared her impressions of the updated pulmonology department.
At the moment, city hospital No. 16 is undergoing major renovations in the hospital building.
