The issues of production of metal structures in construction and personnel training were discussed today at the industry session of the Association for the Development of Steel Construction (ARSS). The event was held at the Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilshat Gimaev made a welcoming speech.
The speakers at the event were ARSS CEO Alexander Danilov, representatives of Evraz and Severstal.
In his speech, Ilshat Gimaev announced ways to solve the problems of production, construction and staffing. "The implementation of large-scale projects in industrial construction continues in the republic. To ensure new projects of the petrochemical complex, in civil construction, an appropriate base of the construction industry is needed. Republican plants have huge production capacities, which must first of all be preserved in the current conditions and developed in the future to improve quality, expand the assortment and nomenclature," the deputy minister noted.
Within the framework of the event, a presentation of the new ARSS textbook on the design of metal structures was also held. The developed materials are recommended by the educational system for bachelor's and master's degree programs.
