A new sports complex has opened in Nizhnekamsk
The opening of the multifunctional sports center “SIBUR Arena NK” took place in Nizhnekamsk. Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening ceremony.
The new facility was created on the basis of the Druzhba sports complex. The new sports center included the main building of the sports and recreation complex. After a large-scale reconstruction, a new building with a multi-purpose sports hall was built here, and the stadium was renovated. There will also be new outdoor sports grounds.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Sibur not only successfully implements industrial projects in Tatarstan, but also makes a great contribution to the development of the republic. “Words of gratitude to the management of Sibur for this wonderful facility. He will be in demand - Nizhnekamsk residents love sports very much. I am sure that future champions will be trained here. Also in the city there are many technical schools, colleges, universities, and it is very important that our students can receive all types of sports services in one sports complex,” Rais RT emphasized.
“This is a real 21st century object. Modern, comfortable complex. The building was practically built from scratch. Starting today, a large team of specialists and trainers begins working here. “All conditions have been created here for lovers of an active and healthy lifestyle,” said Mikhail Karisalov, Chairman of the Board and General Director of SIBUR.
The center is equipped with modern equipment. It will provide an opportunity for table tennis, handball, volleyball, basketball, mini-football, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, and fitness. Taking into account all the changes, the traffic volume of the new multifunctional sports center will increase to 432 thousand people per year.
