The reconstruction of biological treatment facilities (BWTP) in Kazan continues. The work is being carried out within the framework of the federal project “Improvement of the Volga” and the national project “Ecology”.
The BOSC reconstruction project was developed by Giprokommunvodokanal SPB LLC (St. Petersburg). The state contract for construction and installation work was concluded with VT Stroyengineering LLC. At the moment, they are 11.74% completed (75.38% of the entire project).
The implementation of stages I and II of reconstruction will improve wastewater treatment performance.
“At the moment, all equipment and materials are at the site, reinforced concrete structures are being prepared, and old metal and damaged parts are being cleaned. In the summer, work will be carried out on refurbishment, strengthening and new monolithic structures will be erected. The work will be completed this year and operation of the facility will begin. After the reconstruction, we will have serious power reserves that will allow us to clean wastewater as efficiently as possible and not pollute the Volga,” said First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Frolov.
