5 new football arenas have been opened in Tatarstan

Today, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin via video link took part in the opening of indoor football arenas in five districts of the republic at once. Sports facilities were built in Almetyevsk, Bugulma, Zainsk, Chistopol and Agryz as part of the republican program for the construction of universal sports grounds and low-budget sports facilities, and other sources. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that all construction work was carried out efficiently and on time. He noted that systematic work is underway in the republic to develop the sports infrastructure. Today, there are over 11 thousand sports facilities in Tatarstan. Such a base allows as many people as possible to engage in physical culture and sports, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized, - today it is more than 50% of the population. “About 50 thousand people play football here. I am sure that with such an infrastructure, this figure can both double and triple. These sports facilities will serve to popularize football and a healthy lifestyle,” — added the President of Tatarstan.
All 5 arenas are built according to a standard design. In the foyer, there is a lobby with two dressing rooms for 12 persons, three showers, a first aid room, a coach's office, an inventory room, and a mini-football room. The size of the field is 20x40 meters. Up to 24 people can train here in one shift. In the Russian Federation, since 2019, the federal project "Sport is the norm of life" of the national project "Demography" is being implemented, aimed at attracting the population to physical education and sports. The opening of a new frame and tent arenas will allow to fulfill the goals of the national project and increase the number of people who go in for football year-round.
