Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan: The share of construction of private houses in Tatarstan this year is a record one

n Tatarstan, the share of individual housing construction in the current 2021 amounted to a record 65% against 35% of the construction of apartment buildings. The deputy head of the department Ilshat Gimaev drew attention to this at a round table organized by the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan. The growing interest in IHC is driven by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. During the period of self-isolation, many felt the need to expand the living space, since they needed an office for work and separate rooms for all family members, and it is difficult to create such conditions in a city apartment. In general, according to the Deputy Minister, the projects of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan are being implemented quite successfully. Despite the pandemic, the construction industry of the republic continues to develop. “This year we have to commission 2.67 million square meters of housing. At the moment we are at the final stage, 2.57 million square meters have already been commissioned, which is 96.4% of the annual plan for 2021 and 6.2% more than last year's figure for the same period,"- said Gimaev. In terms of the pace of development of construction and the volume of housing commissioning, Tatarstan ranks seventh in Russia. In the Volga Federal District, the republic is in second place and is second only to Bashkortostan.
