Strong financial discipline must be continued to meet priority and social obligations. This was announced today by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at the republican meeting of financial, treasury and tax authorities, which took place in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan. The results of the work for 9 months of the current year were summed up and the tasks until the end of the year were considered. The Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin took part in the work. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that at present a certain revival of the economy has been achieved in the republic. According to the results of 9 months, the GRP growth was 102.9% compared to last year, the industrial production index - 105.2%, the construction industry - 103.7%. The retail sector showed an increase of 8.5%. The President of Tatarstan noted that the budget for the next year was formed with a deficit of almost 11 billion rubles. “We need to find these funds today, because part of the deficit will be covered by carry-overs,” - Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan urged to continue working with reserves, including the reduction of tax arrears. As of October 1, it amounted to 7.8 billion rubles. “We must pay tribute: by the same period last year, we have reduced the debt by 602 million rubles - 7.1%. This is not an easy job, but there is a result, ”- Rustam Minnikhanov noted.

Addressing the heads of districts and cities, the President of Tatarstan announced the inadmissibility of increasing tax arrears. “Starting next year, with an increase in tax debts in the region or in the presence of arrears of employees of local governments, we will consider the issue of reducing funding from the budget of the republic in terms of supporting the region for capital purposes and for various activities. It couldn't be otherwise. If you yourself are not performing well, what additional support can there be? So pay attention. We will seriously control this,” - Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized. According to the President of Tatarstan, it is necessary to continue adherence to strict financial discipline in order to fulfill priority and social obligations. “I would like to note that tasks within the framework of national projects require significant costs. They are not discussed. This year we will allocate 31.3 billion rubles for these purposes, of which 8.1 billion from the budget of the republic. All parameters laid down in agreements with the federal center must be achieved,” - he added. As regards the formation of municipal budgets, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan instructed to approve them without a deficit and in accordance with the forecast indicators of the Ministry of Finance of the republic. All commitments must be backed by real funding sources.
