Both green spots will be connected by a pedestrian connection - at the request of residents, the existing granite staircase will be widened to three meters. Unique play equipment will be installed on the territory of the children's park, a green maze of dogwood will be laid, about 500 trees and four thousand bushes will be planted, and in the Fuchs garden - two thousand perennial herbs.

"In addition to the improvement of existing green areas, every year under the program of the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, we try to find new areas where parks and squares can be located. Last year, we began to improve a vacant lot in the Moskovsky district, where a green boulevard will appear along Serov Street. And this year, on the bank of the Kazanka, also on the site of a vacant lot, we will open a completely new park. It will be dedicated to children and will become the largest in Tatarstan. It is important that along with the construction of the park, we are updating the Fuchs garden, connecting them with a new staircase, a pedestrian connection. We plan to complete all the work by City Day,” noted Ilsur Metshin.

Currently, greenery is being planted in the children's park, where construction began in October last year. The workers of Gorvodzelenkhoz have completed 55% of the landscaping. The new public space will be decorated with a 540-meter-long green maze of dogwood, about 500 trees and four thousand shrubs. Six lamps will be installed next to the hedge to illuminate the space in the evening. You can walk through the maze all year round - in winter, the territory will be decorated with five types of coniferous trees.

The children's park will be equipped with play and recreation areas, a multifunctional pavilion and fountain, and an event site. In addition, a children's cafe with healthy and nutritious food will be opened on the territory.

To date, the park's construction is 58.1% complete. Currently, monolithic works are being completed, installation of storm sewer networks, installation of the roof on the pavilion and small architectural forms, laying granite on the fountain, installation of embedded parts for lighting poles, installation of low-current networks and power supply, installation of water supply and drainage systems. Workers continue to install horizontal elements on the pergola columns, form hills, install an automatic irrigation system and finish work in the pavilion.

Like 100 years ago: more than two thousand perennial plants will be planted in the Fuchs Garden
After improvement due to the appropriation of unexploited territories, the area of the Fuchs Garden will increase from 10.7 to 11 thousand square meters. The concept was developed by the Kazan Development Institute. The main idea of the architects is to recreate the original appearance of the public space of 1896. In

The main functional area of the territory will remain a round square with a monument to Karl Fuchs. Workers are currently restoring the bronze cane of the sculpture. The garden will be equipped with 42 cast-iron supports for outdoor lighting in a historical style, another 22 lamps will be installed along the granite staircase and 38 along the slopes.

To date, workers have completed the finishing of the art object at the entrance group. Soon, they will install an illuminated sign with the name of the garden in Russian and Tatar. Wooden boards-benches for rest will be laid at the base of the structure.
One of the oldest Kazan squares was laid out near a steep slope on the left bank of the Kazanka River on the initiative of the City Duma in 1896. In 1996, on the 220th anniversary of Fuchs's birth, a bronze monument to him was erected in the square.
