The new children's park will be located between the URAM extreme park and the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan. Its area will be 3.4 hectares. The park will have play and recreation areas, a multifunctional pavilion, a fountain, an event venue, a cafe, and the first natural labyrinth in the city.

The children's park is 75% complete. Currently, specialists are completing monolithic work, installing power supply, water supply and sewerage cables, arranging storm sewer networks, organizing an automatic irrigation system, and laying paving stones. Work is underway to plant trees, install the roof and finish the pavilion, where it is planned to open a cafe and a workshop for the Arkhideti project.

Residents of Kazan have chosen a name for the new park - "Yelmay" ("smile"). Over 6.3 thousand residents of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the online voting for the name of the children's park. Most of them chose the "Yelmay" option. The second most popular name was "Ayda Park", and the third was "Su Balasy" ("children of water").

Also, this year in Kazan the Fuchs Garden is being renovated. The children's park and the Fuchs Garden will be connected by a wide granite staircase. Work in the public space is 85% complete. Today, specialists are landscaping the area, installing paths, stairs, and installing lighting and water supply systems.

In 1996, on the 220th anniversary of Fuchs's birth, a bronze monument to him was erected in the park. The cane of the bronze sculpture was repeatedly broken and sawed off. During the improvement of the public space, specialists restored the bronze cane of the sculpture.

After the improvement, the area of the Fuchs Garden will increase from 10.7 to 11 thousand square meters.
