Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited a number of sites in the historical center of the city of Chistopol. He was accompanied by assistant to Rais of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Public Utilities of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin, Chairman of the Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites Ivan Gushchin, Director of the Main Investment and Construction Department of the Republic of Tatarstan Niyaz Sitdikov, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Tourism Sergey Ivanov, head of the Chistopol district Dmitry Ivanov.
Thus, Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the progress of construction of the new pier. Today, the passenger pavilion building is ready, work continues on the improvement of the adjacent territory and the construction of the berth wall. It is expected that the new facility will have a positive impact on the tourist attractiveness of the city. The project is planned to be completed this year.
Rustam Minnikhanov suggested using the pavilion for working with young people after the end of the navigation period: to place a youth club here, to hold various events for children.
The next object was the site of the future guest house on Markina Street. The project was presented on May 21, 2024, at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Urban Development in Historical Settlements. Based on the results of the review, it was recommended to finalize the architectural solution of the hotel.
Then the Rais of the Republic inspected the Aleksandrovsky lodging house, which is a cultural heritage site of regional (republican) significance. According to the Concept of Sustainable Development of the Historical Settlement of Chistopol, it is recommended to use the building as a tourist information center. Rustam Minnikhanov also suggested organizing a parking lot for tourist buses nearby.
It is planned to open a training center for young specialists in the field of IT and workshops for local artisans in the complex of buildings of the merchant Chelyshev. Today, the premises are empty. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to inspect the buildings and make a decision on further repairs.
Then he visited the cultural heritage site of local (municipal) significance "Government Office Building, mid-19th century", built in 1847 as a residential building of the merchant Meshkichev. Currently, the building houses the Chistopol architecture and urban development services, offices and residential apartments. In order to preserve the site, the district leadership has carried out work to repair the roof and strengthen the floors of the first floor of the staircase. Instructions have been given for the building to conduct a survey and update the project.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in turn, called on the city leadership to take good care of cultural and historical monuments. "Chistopol is a unique city with a rich history. Much original architecture has been preserved here. You have enormous tourism potential. It needs to be realized correctly. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully approach the reconstruction of objects and new construction on the territory of the historical center," emphasized the Rais of Tatarstan.
