A house with apartments for people with limited mobility is being built in Salavat Cooper

A 191-apartment building is being built in the “Mәkhәbbәt” residential complex, where 9 apartments are designed taking into account special requirements for a comfortable life for people with disabilities in accordance with the need presented by the Kazan City Executive Committee. At the moment, work is underway on the construction of a basement at the site.

Of these, 7 apartments are one-room, 2 apartments are two-room.

At the entrance to a residential building, double-leaf doors will be installed, the width of the open doors will be 1.2 m. There is a delay function for automatically closing the doors for at least 5 seconds, and they can also be fixed in the “open” and “closed” positions.

Access to the apartments will be through corridors at least 1.5 m wide with pockets for wheelchairs. The thresholds of the entrance door and exits to the loggia are provided with a height of no more than 14 mm. The apartments will have floors without height differences.

Combined bathrooms provide free space for turning around a wheelchair with a diameter of 1.4 m. There are handrails for the shower, toilet and sink; the showers themselves are designed without a difference in floor heights with traps and are equipped with folding seats.

The apartment will also have built-in closets for storing strollers and other rehabilitation equipment with an area of at least 2 sq.m.

The construction of the house will allow us to fulfill one of the main objectives of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment” - providing affordable and comfortable housing for our citizens.
