The opening of the Badminton Center in Alekseevsky district took place

A badminton center was opened in the Alekseevsky district of Tatarstan. The solemn ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic Alexey Pesoshin, the head of the district Sergei Demidov and other officials.

Alexey Pesoshin emphasized that this sports complex was the first facility built under the program for the development of badminton centers in cities and villages of the republic. “Today is a significant event for residents of the Alekseevsky district - the long-awaited, specialized center for badminton is opening. Alekseevsky district is one of the leaders in the development of this sport in the republic,” said the Head of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Prime Minister noted that the district leadership pays great attention to the development of physical education and sports, and also thanked the builders for implementing the project efficiently and on time. “I am confident that the new sports facility will attract even more people to sports and an active lifestyle,” added Alexey Pesoshin.

Sergei Demidov noted that badminton players from the Alekseevsky district have repeatedly become winners and prize-winners of competitions at various levels. Today, there are 196 children and 8 coaches in the badminton department of the local sports school. In total, more than 700 people play badminton in the region.

The total area of the building is 1.5 thousand square meters. In the center there is a games room with 6 courts, 4 locker rooms for 16 people each, showers and toilets. There is also a medical office, administrative offices, a coaching room, and a room for storing sports equipment.

The center is intended for training sessions and badminton camps, organizing sports competitions, as well as training the reserve team of the Republic of Tatarstan badminton team. The standard capacity of the facility is 200 people per day.
