Major repairs under the “Our Yard” program on the street. Yash Kych in the Volga region of Kazan
On the street Yash Kych, Privolzhsky district of Kazan, completed the renovation of permanent buildings and improvement of the local area No. 1a, b, c, d, e and f under the republican program “Our Yard”. The repair work carried out was appreciated by the Mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin.
A large amount of work was carried out - from repairing utility networks, the basement, roofing and facades to laying asphalt, installing a lighting system and installing small architectural forms. In addition to the main work, thanks to the management company, a play complex was equipped on the territory of the houses, birdhouses were installed, as well as wheel guards at the entrances. Together with the residents, they carried out mass landscaping on the territory - they planted 58 trees and 120 shrubs.
The residents themselves showed particular interest in improving the local area. Thus, on the local area with a total area of 5.6 thousand square meters there are three public gardens, which the townspeople constantly look after. “I know that you yourself grew fruits, vegetables, planted shrubs and trees. Thank you for actively participating in our teamwork. We are grateful that you are not indifferent to the common cause,” Ilsur Metshin addressed the residents.
In the yard, the asphalt surface of the roadway and sidewalks and the lighting system were updated. In addition, new trash cans, benches, a play complex for children and even birdhouses were installed, and wheel guards appeared at the entrances. Also, the number of parking spaces for residents has been increased from 21 to 28.
In total, almost 200 people live in six houses built in 1994–1996. Today the buildings are unrecognizable - houses that were already assessed as unsafe have practically been rebuilt. They had their roof, façade, and electrical, heat and water supply networks updated. The basements and roof were also repaired and heating units were replaced. There was practically no lighting near the houses either - only above the canopies of the entrances. During the renovation work, eight light spots were installed.
