The issues of the use of polymer materials in construction were discussed at a round table at the Kazan Expo IEC
New solutions made of polymer materials for the construction industry and the specifics of their application were discussed today within the framework of the II International Construction Championship at the Kazan Expo IEC.
Representatives of the authorities and industrial construction organizations took part in the discussion.
Ilshat Gimaev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan, addressed the participants of the round table with an introductory speech.
He noted that one of the priority directions of the development of the construction materials industry of Tatarstan is to increase the share of the innovative component of manufactured materials, the production and use of modern resource- and energy-saving materials.
In the modern construction industry, products of chemical and petrochemical industries are widely used, composite materials based on synthetic binders (varnishes, paints, including dispersion and alkyd, oil varnishes, thermoactive resins) are also used.
The petrochemical complex of the Republic of Tatarstan has a developed base for the production of raw materials for the production of building materials, which represents great prospects for the creation of new production facilities and investment in existing enterprises.
Since 2008, about 60 chemical and petrochemical plants have been put into operation in the republic, focused on the production of construction products or products that are raw materials for the production of building materials and products.
«All conditions, including scientific ones, have been created in the republic for the production of products based on composites for the needs of construction and public utilities,» Ilshat Gimayev said.
Recall that on October 5-8, the II International Championship of Professional Skills in the field of industrial construction is being held in Kazan at the site of the Kazan Expo IEC.
The Championship was established by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation and the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom in 2020. The first Championship was held in Sochi in 2021, and in 2022 Kazan won the right to host the II International Championship of Professional Skills in the field of industrial construction.
