On the territory of the Vesna-2 residential complex, a natural science lyceum with classrooms-laboratories, a concert hall, two gyms and swimming pools is being built. The commissioning of the educational institution will make it possible to relieve the congestion of Lyceum No. 185 located in the neighboring Vesna residential complex, where more than three thousand schoolchildren are currently studying, which is exactly twice the design capacity. The school is being built according to the national project “Education”. Work on site is 25% complete. Today, the mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin, checked the progress of construction.

The head of the city noted that the Vesna microdistrict, where about 13 thousand people live, is actively developing today. The school under construction will be the second one built in this part of the Sovetsky district in the last six years. Now new residents will have access to all the necessary social infrastructure: two new schools and five kindergartens, a landscaped embankment of the Noxa River.

“We are pleased that young families with a large number of children are appearing. Literally five years ago we opened a school with 1,501 places, and already in the last academic year it exceeded the plan; today there are three thousand children studying there. Therefore, we decided to build a school for 1,501 places. It will be equipped with a concert hall with 670 seats, two gyms, wonderful laboratory classes for chemistry and physics,” said Ilsur Metshin.

The total area of the three-story building is almost 28 thousand square meters. meters. On the ground floor of the institution there will be a hall, a cloakroom, elementary school classrooms, a recreational area, a dining room and swimming pools. Classrooms for training in specialized subjects and an assembly hall are on the second.

Currently, about 360 people work at the facility. The work on installing a pile-grillage foundation, walls and floors, covering the basement and first floor has been fully completed. The covering of the second (75%) and third (55%) floors, installation of ventilation and electrical systems, and windows continue. Work is underway on internal utilities, water supply and sewerage networks. The installation of a low-current system, plastering, and work on the roof and facade have begun.

Deputy Director of GKU Glavinveststroy Ilnur Kalimullin also took part in the inspection of the facility under construction.
